New appointment for papal Nuncio

His Excellency Archbishop Antonio Mennini, who has served as Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain since December 2010, has been appointed by Pope Francis to serve in the Holy See Secretariat of State and will take up his new post in Rome next month. Clergy changes

Mgr. Thomas Wynne, parish priest at St. Margaret’s, Roy Bridge, will be celebrating sixty years of priesthood in June. He will then be retiring then from active ministry. Mgr. Tom will be succeeded by Fr Danny Convery, who is currently Administrator of St Mary’s, Benbecula.   At the end of January Fr Danny will be moving to support Mgr. Wynne in Roy Bridge during his final months as parish priest. The Parish of St Andrew’s Rothesay celebrated its 150th year on 30th November 2016.
